Working scientifically

Progression

Progression in Working Scientifically Skills shows how the working scientifically skills build across the phases from Key Stage 1 to the end of Key Stage 2.

Matrices

Working Scientifically Matrices provide the key learning for each working scientifically skill in each year-group as well as the expected outcomes that a child needs to demonstrate to be secure.

Planning

Planning Working Scientifically supports the planning of the working scientifically skills by listing the working scientifically activities for each year-group that feature in schemes of work and the skills they can most likely be used to teach.

Assessment

Assessing Working Scientifically enables teachers to use the PLAN Working Scientifically Skills to assess children against the National Curriculum working scientifically statements.
